Non-bailable arrest warrant against Imran Khan suspended till tomorrow in judge-threatening case

A non-bailable arrest warrant that had been issued against Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan for allegedly threatening a judge has been suspended until tomorrow, according to a recent report. The warrant was issued by a court in Lahore, Pakistan, after Khan failed to appear for a hearing in the case.

The judge in question, Justice Qasim Khan, had accused Imran Khan of threatening him during a speech in which he criticized the judiciary for what he perceived as their reluctance to take action against corruption. Khan had reportedly said that the judge would be held responsible if anything happened to his government.

Following the issuance of the warrant, Khan's lawyer filed a petition in court seeking its suspension, citing the prime minister's busy schedule and commitments. The court has agreed to hear the petition tomorrow and has suspended the warrant until then.

This is not the first time Imran Khan has faced legal challenges during his tenure as prime minister. He has also been accused of election rigging, money laundering, and other corruption charges, which he has denied. Critics have accused him of using his position to silence dissent and intimidate opponents, including journalists and political rivals.

The suspension of the non-bailable warrant against Khan is likely to provide some temporary relief to the embattled prime minister, but the case is far from over, and the outcome is uncertain.
